I don’t know about you, but I’m obsessed with smoothies. They’re a simple on-the-go snack, but also an easy way to add some nutrients to your diet. While I enjoy fruity and green smoothies, chocolate takes the cake. Here is my all time favorite smoothie recipe, plus it’s super quick to blend up.

Ingredients:
Frozen banana
Tablespoon of peanut butter(or nut butter of your choice)
Scoop of chocolate protein powder(optional)
Tablespoon of cacao powder
Handful of spinach, trust me you can’t taste it
Tablespoon of chia seeds
Tablespoon of hemp seeds
Splash of almond milk
Pinch of Himalyan pink salt
Dash of cinnamon
Ice cubes, especially if you used fresh banana
The amount of almond milk will depend on how thick you want your smoothie to be: less milk – thick smoothie bowl consistency, more milk – liquidy smoothie consistency. Of course, you can always add more after you blend it up.
A frozen banana really helps achieve the perfect texture, but use ice cubes if you couldn’t freeze one. The spinach will just add some extra vitamins and minerals, without sacrificing taste. You also get a nice combo of fat, carb, and protein so you’re not hungry in half an hour.
Personally I use a NutriBullet because you don’t need a giant blender for this recipe. Or, try this cute, little portable blender!
I made this chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie about 3x a week this past summer and I’m still not sick of it. Hope you enjoy, drop a comment with your favorite smoothie!
